  • Dr. Oscar Villa applies strict scientific guidelines to his clinical practice derived from the Scandinavian approach to modern periodontology (treatment of gum disease). Clinical research developed in Scandinavian dental schools have led to an impressive scientific development in the field of cariology, periodontology and dental implantology. This Scandinavian approach establishes that clinical procedures need to follow strong scientific evidence and have predictable outcomes.

Scandinavian periodontics follows concepts and approaches based on scientific evidence rather than on trial and error. This philosophy has historically led to the development of strategies that resulted in major improvements in the oral health of the Scandinavian population.
